The beginning of autumn this year in Tomsk was remarkable, and not only due to the beginning of a new academic year. From September 4-6, the Summit of Asian Cities was held in our city, during which the heads of Asian megalopolises gathered on Tomsk soil.
Around 80 people from Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, and other countries arrived as a delegation in order to strengthen international ties.The event had a broad program. Guests visited the “Tomsk” Special Economic Zone, local universities, the “Okolitsa” countryside park, and they even planted cedar trees.
Lingvista gladly took part at this very important municipal event and provided translation support to the summit’s participants by interpreting from Japanese to Russian. We’re elated that our partnership is spreading further to the East and we would be happy to repeat such a wonderful experience.
