Localization is a complex process of adapting a product to the target market of any country. The concept of localization is broader than that of language translation.

Localization involves not just translating the text of a product into a foreign language, but also aligning the entire set of accompanying concepts and materials with the needs of the target market. This includes localizing formats for dates and times, numbers, currencies, replacing examples and names, working with word forms, images, and idiomatic expressions, etc. In other words, it entails a complete adaptation of the original material to the cultural peculiarities and national standards of a specific audience.
