Friday is the last working day in a week, but not a reason to put everything aside! Participants of the business lunch for exporters held in Stroganina-bar last Friday, April 6, would definitely share the opinion. This event was organized by Lingvista and Smart Business Trips and became the fourth one in a row of exporters‘ meetings, cause they‘ve got much to discuss. The main topic was a Russian company’s experience of taking part in a foreign exhibition and getting financial support from Russian Export Center.

Today, entrepreneurs have a wide choice of support and business development programs. However, how do they work practically? Those who have already tested some instruments themselves can share their experience. Dealing with Russian Export Center for participation in professional fairs and exhibitions overseas was the main topic of discussion this time. Around 15 businesspeople met in a familiar Stroganina-bar space to listen to the speaker and share their own opinion.

Anastasia Yeremina, the Director of New Chemistry, was the speaker at the meeting. This winter, Anastasia presented her project Zephyr on Spielwarenmesse, the largest international trade fair for toys and games held in Nuremberg, Germany. Russian Export Center compensated 80% of all participation costs. Anastasia shared her experience at the meeting: she told about the peculiarities of such foreign trade shows, what needs to be done before the fair, how to attract interest to the product and how to communicate efficiently with Russian Export Center. The conclusion that might be drawn: state support programs can be truly effective, however exporters should make efforts themselves to make the most of such events.

The business lunch participants did not stay on the sidelines during the meeting. They asked questions and shared their own opinion regarding the topic; exchanged experience and contact details. Moreover, some exporters discussed future collaboration and mutual support. Assistance for Russian exporting companies and useful knowledge flow are the main results of our business lunches. Feel free to join the next meeting!
