Interpreting at an international Java conference in Moscow

Translation and interpretation are usually just one step apart. We started April with interpreting at the international Java conference JPOINT in Moscow. A Korean IT company representatives came to Russia to take part in an exhibition related to the event. Lingvista provided interpretation services readily, as it was the company we have been translating for since last year.

Finding new shared interests is always a great benefit for every kind of cooperation. Good old partners of ours, a Russian IT company, recommended our English to Russian translation service to their colleagues from Korea. That’s how our cooperation had started, but there was more to come: papers and articles translations first; then a business trip to Moscow with a need for an English-Russian interpreter. Our Korean partners were going to take part in the JPOINT exhibition and requested us on this kind of service accordingly.

Before providing interpretation for our clients, we carefully select linguists with decent experience in the relevant area of specialization. After the interpreter had been tested and approved by our in-house team, his/her CV was handed over to our client for the final confirmation. This time, we worked in Moscow with Maria, an English-Russian interpreter who often attends international IT events, conferences and exhibitions. Once the project was over, she shared with us some photos of the company’s exhibition stand and the Korean specialists. It’s always exciting to see your partners’ faces and get to know them more personal.

Meanwhile, spring is coming to town. Judging from our work experience, foreign specialists prefer to shift their business trips to Russia to the warm season. Thus, we are getting ready for new projects: both written and oral translations in Moscow, Tomsk, any other city of Russia and abroad. As for now, 40+ cities worldwide are mentioned in our portfolio, and we would like to broaden our geography more upon your request.
